Hmmm I don't know if you ever seen The Crazies (1973) or its remake The Crazies (2010). Both are good, though for difference reasons. I enjoy the original for unease and unanswered, while the remake went less unease and more 'violent', removed a lot of the questions, but also had some fun scenes. Scary? I wouldn't say that persay, but survival horror? yeah more like that hehe.
